🌞🌞🌞🌞 week 59

Bonjour à tous!

J'espère que vous avez passé une tres bonne semaine! It's been a good week here, so right now we are in the middle of vacance (holiday.) and yeah let me tell ya, vacance in france is a little different than home. Most people have about a month off for vacance, and they travel or just chill chez-eux, but its like so hard to see anyone. So it's been hard to see a lot of our amis and some people have been dropping- but if there is anything I have learned on my mission its that opposition always brings miracles:)

On tuesday the Carcassonne sœurs came in for an exchange, and it was a lot of fun! I was able to go with Soeur Chidester who is a bleue and she is so cute. She actually went to SUU before her mission and she is a ballet dancer who took the same classes I did and she was in the same singles ward as me! (Ha sadly she went a year after me, when I was already out, so we never met.) But we had a lot of fun, and even though she doesn't speak a lot of french yet- she did so well and I was so proud of her! We were able to see an ami, who we have been trying for weeks to see and we had a really good lesson! I had never met this ami before, her name is Christine, but when we met with her she had already read half of the livre de mormon, and she wants to finish it! The thing is she hadn't prayed about it yet, so we shared how we knew the book is true and how we had received a witnesses of its truthfullness. She is really open and has a lot of potential:)

On friday we had a soirée familiale for our amis and members, we made a bunch of popcorn (shout out to best parents ever for the popcorn maker;) ) and we watched rencontre avec les mormons (meet the mormons) and it was so successful. All three équipes of missionnaires had some amis come, and a lot of members! Everyone loved it:)

So this is something that I've been thinking and studying a lot about lately, and its our divine potential. In thinking about our potential, how often do we put limits on what we are able to do? We always say that, oh I'm just not good enough, I can't do that, I'm not ready. We cap our limits, which inhibits our progression. However this is exactly opposite to what Heavenly Father's plan is for us, he wants us to change and grow. God's plan for us is to become like him, and the potential we have inside of us is divine. In romans 8:16-17 it says, " The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

We can one day become gods ourselves, and if we believe that Heavenly Father can accomplish anything that means that we can also achieve amazing things because of what we have the potential TO BECOME.

But how do we achieve these amazing works, when we are all imperfect beings with completely impeding weaknesses. Our savior; he is, as always, the answer. The atonement that he accomplished is what allows us to progress. The atonement is the catalyst for change. This is because as we repent, we change becoming more like our savior (and Heavenly Father- as we draw close to one we draw close to them both ) The power of the atonement allows us to begin to achieve our potential, allowing us to move mountains as we overcome the trials and weaknesses of this life.

So please don't put limits on yourself for what you can do, Heavenly Father knows who he wants you to become, and no it will not be easy- in fact it will be painful and hard- but I promise you it does bring the most joy and in the end is easier! Trust that God us our father, and we are his beloved children, and that he has a plan!

Haha sorry for who lengthy that was, but I can't really express how grateful I am to bring this knowledge to people- that they have a Heavenly father who loves them, and that he has a plan for them. Guys being a missionary is the greatest, yeah it's hard but its so worth it!

Je vous aime beaucoup!

Passez une bonne semaine:)
